The Lost Vape Centaurus V2 tank turns up in three guises, boxed on its own, fitted to the Thelema Solo 100 Pro or sitting on the Thelema Q200 Pro. The tank and its coils stay the same, the mod and its power headroom do not. Should you buy it bare for a mod you already own, or go for one of the two kits? We compare capacity, coils, power supply, screen and size, then give a verdict for each type of vaper.

Centaurus V2 tank alone or in a kit, the short answer

The Centaurus V2 tank is a sub-ohm tank with top filling and top airflow, built for direct-lung vaping with the V2 edition of Lost Vape’s UB Max coils. Bought on its own, it suits anyone who already owns a mod that reaches 100 W and fires a 0.15 ohm coil.

The Thelema Solo 100 Pro makes the most coherent kit, since its 100 W ceiling matches the top of the range of the most powerful coil. The Thelema Q200 Pro moves to two batteries and 200 W, headroom that the coils made for this tank never use.

The head-to-head table

Both kits ship with the same tank, only the mod changes. The figures below come from Lost Vape’s product pages.

The 2 ml Centaurus V2 tank, the measurements that matter

The international version holds 5 ml, or 3 ml with the spare glass tube in the box. UK rules cap refillable tanks at 2 ml, so the version sold here is the 2 ml TPD edition, which comes with a 2 ml spare glass tube. The same rules limit nicotine e-liquid to 20 mg/ml in bottles of no more than 10 ml.

For that version, the Thelema Solo 100 Pro page gives a diameter of 26.8 mm and a height of 58.3 mm. The pages for the tank and the Q200 Pro repeat the 26.8 mm next to a 30 mm figure, which the Solo page replaces with 28 mm for the 5 ml version. Shop listings mostly give 26 mm, a gap that matters when checking that a mod takes the tank without overhang.

The body is SUS303 stainless steel with a glass tube. Filling happens at the top, under a cap with a lock against accidental opening, and the air also enters at the top. Six colours are listed, Silver, Gunmetal, Black, Sierra Blue, Gold and Rainbow.

UB Max V2 coils and the power they need

The tank takes three coils from the UB Max platform, all in the V2 edition and all rated for direct-lung vaping by the maker. Their wattage range decides which mod suits them.

Three resistances, three ranges

The 0.15 ohm X1 runs at 80 to 100 W, the 0.2 ohm X2 at 60 to 80 W and the 0.3 ohm X3 at 40 to 60 W. The tank’s box holds the X1 and the X3, along with a spare parts pack, a user manual and a warranty card. Sold separately, the X2 completes the range.

Several retailers quote up to 120 W for the X1, as does Lost Vape’s own UB Max platform page. The Centaurus V2 page, which describes the V2 edition supplied with the tank, stops at 100 W, and that is the figure this comparison works from.

What the mod has to deliver

To use all three coils, a mod needs to reach 100 W and fire down to 0.15 ohm. Both Thelema mods accept coils from 0.1 ohm and go to at least 100 W, which covers the whole UB Max V2 range.

Thelema Solo 100 Pro or Thelema Q200 Pro, two mods for one tank

The two kits share the Quest X 3.0 chipset, a 1.47 inch colour screen and nine display themes. What separates them is the power supply, the maximum output and the format.

The Thelema Solo 100 Pro, one battery and 100 W

It takes one 18650 or 21700 battery, not included, and delivers 5 to 100 W. Six modes are offered, wattage, Boost, voltage and temperature control in SS316, titanium or nickel. The published size, 39.6 x 28.2 x 149 mm for 217 g, does not say whether the tank is included.

Its ceiling lines up exactly with the top of the X1 range, so no coil in the line-up is held back. The choice between 18650 and 21700 stays open, a trade-off our Voopoo Drag X3, Armour GS and Centaurus PM100 match-up works through on three other devices.

The Thelema Q200 Pro, two batteries and 200 W

It runs on two 18650 batteries, not included, and goes from 5 to 200 W. The mod alone measures 28 x 57 x 92 mm and weighs 150 g. A switch turns it on, then three presses of the fire button open the modes, themes, screen settings and power lock.

The kit includes the tank, the X1 and X3 coils, a spare glass tube, spare parts and a USB-C cable. Beyond 100 W, the extra headroom has no use with UB Max V2 coils. To place this mod among other dual-battery designs, our Gen Max, Drag 5 and Centaurus BT200 showdown compares three rival models.

Our verdict for each type of vaper

If your mod already reaches 100 W and takes a 26.8 mm tank, buy the Centaurus V2 tank on its own. It brings the lockable top fill and the UB Max V2 coils without paying for new electronics.

For a complete single-battery set-up, the Thelema Solo 100 Pro is the closest match. Its output fits the coils and it leaves the choice between 18650 and 21700.

For two batteries, the Thelema Q200 Pro fits the bill, with more power than this tank will ever draw on.

FAQ

Here are answers to the questions that come up most about this Lost Vape tank.

Which e-liquid suits the Centaurus V2?

Retailers recommend a liquid with at least 70% vegetable glycerine. A thinner mix, such as 50/50, is a poor fit for sub-ohm coils of this size.

What changed from the first Centaurus Sub Ohm tank?

The first version already offered top airflow and top filling, two capacities and six colours. The V2 adds the lock on the fill cap and comes with the V2 edition of the UB Max coils.

How do you lock the fill cap?

You twist the top cap to the locked position, which stops it opening in a pocket. To fill, you unlock it and slide the cap open.

Which drip tip and connection does it use?

It comes with an 810 drip tip, which any other 810 tip can replace. The connection is a standard 510 thread.

Does the Centaurus V2 suit a mouth-to-lung draw?

No. All three of its coils are rated for direct-lung vaping. For a mouth-to-lung draw, Lost Vape offers another tank in the same family, the Centaurus Nano MTL.

Centaurus V2 tank, which format to choose for direct-lung vaping

The tank is identical in all three cases, with its 2 ml version, its locking fill cap and its three UB Max V2 coils topping out at 100 W. The real decision is the mod that goes with it.

On its own, the Centaurus V2 tank completes a mod you already have. As a kit, the Thelema Solo 100 Pro matches its coils best, while the Q200 Pro is aimed first at fans of dual-battery mods. The other match-ups on this site follow the same approach, a popular product and its direct rivals compared point by point.
